Basshead 20 Posted July 25, 2012 Hey guys, I am looking for a screen capture program to use for Dayz. I have fraps, but the trial like version where it is only 30 seconds. I would like one that is quality without having to pat 32424$ dollars for it. So if you have any suggestions, please leave them below.
OjigO 3 Posted July 25, 2012 You can get the cracked version of fraps or use hypercam 3 or use camtasia studios mostly cracked versions are what you're going to have to get if you want the full versions though
capitainedesolation@yahoo.fr 119 Posted July 25, 2012 (edited) Fraps sucks.I use MSI afterburner, with settings as:90% quality (the 10% quality drop is barely noticeable in a youtube video)1/2 frame30 fps (Youtube is locked at 29.9 fps). And when recording, I only lose about 5 fps, compared to fraps where my FPS get locked to 30.Also, with MSI afterburner you can monitor and overclock your graphics card, so it's a win-win. KrystoferRobin 67 Posted July 25, 2012 Check out Dxtory It's only $20 (a damn sight less than 32424$!), and it works great. Less FPS drop than fraps does as well. You can get the cracked version of fraps or use hypercam 3 or use camtasia studios mostly cracked versions are what you're going to have to get if you want the full versions thoughGet a job. Barronism 88 Posted July 25, 2012 I think Xsplit has an option to "record stream" and have it stored on your personal harddrive. Likewise, if you register an account with twitch.tv and set up a broadcast. Your stream is recorded and saved on your channel, then just use a downloader that lets you download w/e video you're currently watching. and Eureka! Probably took me less than an hour to set up my broadcast settings.Ofcourse, this is the legal way to avoid paying for a screen capture software. You can ofcourse find a cracked version and use that Or just pay the $20 for fraps.

naizarak 41 Posted July 25, 2012 dxtory is best overall - requires a bit of tweaking to get good quality/size thoughafterburner is a close second(and is technically free), and is a lot easier to setup and use. doesn't have as many features thoughfraps/bandicam and everything else is long outdated
