random51 172 Posted July 25, 2012 Are they a member of my DayZ tribe? No = kill them. Yes = laugh with them about the last survivor we killed.
Delta Smoke 01 765 Posted July 25, 2012 If im a fresh spawn in cherno or elektro, there's an even chance il kill or cooperate. That depends on the grounds of out meeting though. If you run round a corner and aim me up il stop drop and fire without hesitation. I dont like the fight in the south though, and i will never kill an unarmed player. I prefer a challenge if im gonna have to murder. Im more of a north man myself. If i see you in stary or the NW/E airfields, you best start praying my backup hasnt already circled round on your position :)
PhAsR 6 Posted July 25, 2012 my rules are simple:1. I dont shoot the unarmed and women, i do shoot kids they are annoying.2. if you shoot at me i will make it my job to hunt you down, i dont care which gun you have or how many players you have in your team. Yesterday a team of 3 killed me at elektro i returned and killed all 3 with a revolver with the 1 mag i had.

fosty99 160 Posted July 25, 2012 I never shoot on sight. However I am thinking of starting an army of melee wielding hoodlums to wreak havoc in towns.
Wargunner 55 Posted July 25, 2012 Kill as soon as you see? No, not yet anyway. I usually scope the person out put some thought into it.Got an m104 last night so I thought I'd head down to the NWAF to test it out. Came across one guy at the barracks near the station. I scoped him, only had an Enfield so I thought I'd leave him be.He doesn't head to the barracks though, he prones under the tree and watches the barracks. It took me a while to figure out what he was doing but then it clicked. He was camping the barracks, much like I was. I decided I didn't like his intentions. By the time I had pulled the trigger 5 minutes had gone by. I missed. He Alt+F4'd. Range finder woulda been nice in that situation.
crimsonsoul 5 Posted July 25, 2012 I only shoot on site if when I see you you stop running especially if we are both in an open field because I think you are scoping me out.
Talon2000uk 30 Posted July 25, 2012 My group only shoots in self defence, normally people don't even know were are there and we let them pass by. If they attack us first however, they get a short lesson in the folly of "shoot on sight" against a well armed team. ^_^
SpecOpsScott 20 Posted July 25, 2012 I never fire at un-armed. I will shoot at a player if i am being shot at. I will shoot a player encroaching on my groups AO ( I usually take over watch duty). If there was a comm method with longer range than direct, i would issue a warning first.I have let far more survivors pass me by than ones i have shot. Even if they are looting in area i plan to loot. I will usually remain concealed as best i can and let them go about their business. If i see a player shoot at another player, the shooter becomes a target. Cant speak for the rest of my group though, many of them spend hours looking for someone to shoot. But to their credit, they tend to avoid shooting coastal cuties for the most part!I tried KOS for a while and it was basically boring. Its much more fun to watch people go about their business.
