No Raw Meat on Gutted Animals

What happened: I gut an animal and it doesn't seem to be dependent on animal. Sometimes, which is unknown to me what causes it but over 70% of the time when I gut an animal I never see the 'raw meat' on the animal carcus after gutting. The animal is dead and I can hide or study the body, but no meat is on the animal.

*Timeline of events before/after error: I kill an animal. I gut it. After gutting it tells me there's raw meat on the animal. I look and can't find any raw meat.
