Why bandits don't mug people. ( a story )

My story begins, when the servers came back on. I immediately logged back on and raided a nearby deer stand. After getting no response from my two partners, my cousins, i went back to our camp.

As I was checking a tent that had recently glitches into a rock, I heard someone take a big gulp from a soda. First, I thought that one of my mates had come on, so I walked forward. Immediately after leaving my cover, two men walk past the barrel of my CZ.

I then freaked out, and walked back around the rock. I tore my Remington out of my pack, but thought "fuck it". Instead of using my remmi, I unholstered my PDW. I then started screaming into my mic "Drop your fucking weqpons or die!!!".

One of the men was behind a tree on the ridge overlooking our camp. I told him, " Fuck you", then emptied half a clip of ammo into his ass. He then died leaving one man left (screw you =ION=Batman).

Suddenly, I hear footsteps to my right. I walk around the tree and scream "Drop your weapon or die". The man then lies down in front of me as I fire two remmi shots at his former position. He opens fire with his AK and breaks my legs. As I fall, I shoot him once in the back. He then goes fully auto and kills me. Pissed off at the loss of my weapons, and the group's GPS that I was carrying, i hit respawn.

Amazingly, I respawn a ten mate walk away, and run straight to our camp. I then take the M16 off of the first guy i had killed. I slowly walk over and empty two clips into the man watching my dead body. (fuck you Anthony).

In the end, I got my gear back, and got two new weapons. ( they both had ARs, I was wrong about the AK). During the fight, I had given the men the option to surrender, and they both failed to comply. If they had dropped their guns, I wld have retreated and let them go. As my grops sniper, it is amazing that I managed to kill a guy opinion CQC, and then get revenge. Overall, the moral of the story is: listen to the man pointing the gun at you, or you will die.

After that, I fond a guy crawling towards my camp. I shot him 9 times with a MP5 . He was still alive, and said "don't kill me, I have nothing". The guy was clearly going to go back to my camp for gear. He then started swearing at me and said "fuck you nigger". I then shot him in the face, and found out that I had killed Anthony again. I then returned to the camp and hid all three of our bodies.

You killed a survivor, thus making the others panic and shoot back at you. When you let the bullets fly, you also destroyed the social contract you had with the survivors about letting them leave alive if they cooperated. By panicking yourself, you tipped over the domino, causing them to fire back, and thus you lost control of the situation and died. You were lucky that you got back there so soon, otherwise you'd be killed again.

I don't like making luck part of my strategy...

why don't bandits mug people? cus most bandits arent bandits...they're murderers. Bandits actually mug people.

And they don't mug you because they have no balls to stand there and make it a fair fight....that's my two sense.

if i wanted a fair fight id warn you first but as im after your loot id rather just kill you and take it. Its safer for me :) and my friends

and all Bandits are murderers if they say different they're liars which Bandits also do....

Shit I imagine it would incredibly fun to actually have someone surrender. But realistically, you're much more likely to lose your opportunity.

With the huge amount of ALT F4 right now, you're just giving them a chance to bail. It's not worth it, especially if you had a clean shot to begin with.

Another downside is, you steal their shit, let them live with no weapons or what ever. They get the shits and they are still closer to your location then what they would be if you killed them. They find gear and boom, you're now more vulnerable then what you would be if you killed.

Basically Cons out weigh the Pros.

See, your problem was you tried to mug more than one person when you were alone.

You're supposed to mug people when you have the advantage. Trying to mug people that have an advantage over you is just stupid.

Your technique could use some work. The wording and the fact that you probably shouted your first line in a tone that wasn't very commanding told those guys that you probably were going to kill them anyway and to me sounds a little unstable. Then shooting at people and telling them to surrender? No. As a rule you really shouldn't mug people from the front when they have a chance to shoot you. Do it from out of sight.

Anyway, bandits just rob people, murderers sit ontop of the mountain outside of elektro and kill people for the "lulz", kill survivors sitting around a campfire....

The thing is he didnt survive, because of weak coding he was able to spawn a short enough distance from his place of death... this should never happen. Opposite side of the map and corpses despawn after 2 minutes max. That gives the killer plenty of time to loot and virutally no chance the one killed will get back to the body, additionally it wont do any good to have someone guard it... This mod needs to be more hardcore. This aint not Wow shit where you get to come loot your corpse, dead should mean dead, not respawning and corpse runs....

If you shoot someone in the head they don't have a change to alt+f4 out of the game. Simple as that, too many people disconnect as soon they get into any danger.
