Running to your buddies, who dropped a flare on top of a hill at night, and you are running like a madmen with several zombies behind you. And then your buddies open fire on the zombies and you realize you are finally safe/secure.

Or running during sundown to your buddies, and then just when everything is too dark to see, you hear "popping a flare" through TeamSpeak and you see a red flare lighting up in the distance.

I bet that's the most elating feeling ever.

That feeling when you stumble across an ALICE pack, which by all rights should be a trap as it's loaded with food, Winny slugs and water, and you walk scott-free...

I was looting Zelenogorsk a few days ago and kept seeing some one ask for a transfusion. The guy seemed pretty desperate so I figured I'd ask where he was to see if I was willing to make the trek to help the guy; turns out him and his party were just arriving at the southern end of Zelen, so I told him I would meet them and help the guy out.

I was pretty sure I was walking into a trap and was going to get a bullet in the brain, but I met up with the group with no shots being fired and gave the transfusion without incident. I figured that would be the end of it and I started heading back to my looting, but I noticed the guy I had helped, who's name was James, left his group and was following me. I was a bit on edge about this at first, but I reasoned if they were going to try anything it would have been while they were in a group and I was out-gunned, so I asked if he needed a rifle and when he said yes I told him I would escort him to the barns in the NE of town to grab some gear.

We were sneaking through backyards and across streets with no real issues when a zed spawned directly in front of me and went instant-aggro. I booked it into the nearby field with the zombie in tow and checked to make sure James was alright, but saw that he had three right on his ass, so I cut between him and the zombies to draw their attention and once I'm a good deal away from town I unload my Winchester and remedy the situation. After that was taken care of we continued our journey to the barns without any further conflict, and I escort him safely back to his group.

The instant we met up with his group I get disconnected, so I don't know what happened after that, but in a land of bandits and turncoats, I'd like to think I made at least a small difference.

TL;DR: Gave a transfusion to a total stranger, escorted him through town for better gear, saved his life on the way, and got him safely back to his group.

Maybe euphoric isn't the correct way to explain how this situation made me feel, but it was easily the most feel-good moment I've had since I've started playing.

That feeling when you fire a lone rifle round from a distance and kill a bandit attacking a survivor and he never even sees or knows you saved his life.

A good deed in a world full of darkness.

That feeling you get just knowing this guy ^^ didn't see the zed that snuck up from behind and munched his ass for doing that good deed.

:D

...the feeling of doing all that and then getting ganked by some asshole who goes on to brag that he didn't even loot your body.

Am I doing this wrong? :)

That feeling of coming past a crapload of ammo, gear and other stuff, just to realize: I'm out of luck as usual, still did not find an Alice or CZ backpack, still having my Coyote standard one. Seems like I have to get my 'new' Alice backpack the same way as usual: murder someone.

That feeling of total bad luck regarding a backpack everyone seems to have right after spawn, it's disappointing.

IN a barn near Bor.

A zombie aggro'd on me from outside, and there are a lot around. I have a Winchester and Makarov.

As my blood goes down, I consider what to do. There is a crossbow here, no bolts.

Taking a chance, I take the X-bow and crouch upstairs, knowing the clock is ticking.

Fortune and glory... 2 bolts. As the zombie comes up the stairs, I turn. He gets to the top and I take careful aim... headshot.. and no other zombies came after me..

Too bad my backpack ate my Winchester :(

But it was satisfying in all kinds of ways to not die in that scenario.

that feeling you get when a person sneaks into a barn where you and your two buddies are chilling on the upper floors and he gets immediately shot down and stripped of his expensive stuff.

the feeling when Me and my friend decided to join on a server. It was pitch black and all that. He was prone deep in the grass and i was by a building nearby. Before we got to do anything he was filled with bullets. He only got to see right in front of himself for half a sec, not even rising himself up before he was shot in the dark. I was too afraid to log into that server ever again, also we were on the other side of the map from the beach/spawning points. But i survived.

Shooting that bandit in the legs with my CZ550 when he was being chased by 15 zombies. Brutal, but fun.

The feeling when you find an M16A2 in one of the hangars and like 8 magazines over the time.

The feeling when you think you grew balls with such equipment and head NW.

The feeling when on the famed airport someone nails you into the back with one burst and like 3 days of progress is gone.

The feeling when you respawn back at Kamenka and rage like never before.

....that feel everyday.

The feel of having your legs shot out in a field, turning to see 3 fellow survivors on you, opening up with your AKM and getting two of them before dying, losing your Coyote, m24, AKM, g17, and utilities, then spawning on the coast to meet up with a buddy and finding a dead guy with an ALICE pack, all the utilities you lost +gps/-entrenching tool, +weapons and ammo and food.

The feel of being liberated from that fucking m24, golden. I hope whoever took it enjoys the 5 shots it had, cause now I don't have to waste 13 slots for it :D
