Ahh well that sucks for me. I only got to use it for about 6 hours of gameplay but I must say it was 6 hours of amazing fun. Shot one poor bastard lost in a rain storm while using thermal it was awesome.

they did remove it from the game but I don't know if they disappear if you already have one.

They didn't remove it, it was a bug in the old script that caused it to disappear.

Pretty sure they didn't remove the L85A2 from the game (might be wrong, I have no concrete evidence) but I do remembering reading: That they would start removing duped items, or maybe it was hacked in to begin with.

Also there was a bug in 1.7.2 that caused the cleanup script to remove legit L85's. But it should have been fixed, maybe you joined a server using messed up files, dunno.

only way to keep the l85 is put it in pack b4 logging off i had mind for 2 weeks till i spaced out and logged out with it in my hands lol. it saves in the pack thou

not true. had one in my hands for the past 3 days. it didnd't dissapear. and they still spawn. we found another one in a heli crash last night.
