*What to do as solo player after survival?*

Recommended Posts

Hi people, do any of you have a good tip what to do as solo player after Surviving phase? So I obtained some good stuff and now I dont know what to do. Im not going to teamplay because of three reasons 1. I dont know "real" people who can/want to play it . 2. For online people I dont play regulary or in any logical Timeorder [e.g. playing for 45 min then pause for 8 hours then 3 houer and so on] and 3. I dont trust anyone in this game since I have been killed for 10 times 1sec after being spotted.

So it seems for soloplayers there is no endgame because everything involving cars zombiehunt etc needs some cover from other people and I dont need to loot at the moment because I have almost everything I need and the rest would be too risky.

So any manhunt attempts would be silly because if anything goeas wrong you start again the *pain in the ass 1 hour crawlsession* or in other words the starting time.

The only solution for this could be new underground teritories like stalker bunkers with indoor combats against zombies (although it wouldt workwith this engine I assume]

So anny suggestions [besides temaing up with ppl what wouldnt work I think]

Get a sniper rifle, go to cherno and snipe those noobs!

I'm kidding, don't do that. You can always build up a stash via tents, though those are very glitchy. You could also try and get a car just for the fun of it? I'm just hovering about on this game until more content is released.

Spend some time outside of stary/novy, up in the treeline, well hidden. You don't need to kill anyone, but you can if you want. Watch people, track them, stalk them from a good distance. This way you can get a feel for how people move and act. Call it gathering intel, or surveillance. Sometimes people will lead you to camps, vehicles, and all sorts of other hidden goodies.

It can also be fun to wait for someone to get close to your hiding spot and play something uber-creepy over voip, the reactions are priceless.

Yeah you two said wahts the problem stashing up with tents is buggy I dont see any point in loosing every stashed object after a server restart. And as a zombiehunter you have a hard time after being heared by someone :/

So sadly it seems the only option for me now is to camp on other people to get any gameplay at all.

This isn't an MMO, it isn't a level grind, it doesn't need an endgame to keep people paying indefinitely.

Play it because you enjoy surviving, play it because you enjoy exploring Chernarus, play it because you enjoy PvP. When you stop enjoying all of those things, then move on to the next game.

There isn't any magic crack at the end of the game to keep you on the hamster wheel indefinitely.

People looking for an endgame in everything need to realize that sometimes it isn't about the destination, it is about the journey itself.

is this actually time worth spending? or do most ppl serverhop anyway? i might try it but i figured most ppl can/will just relog to another server pretty fast anyways.

Go find a bike and ride all over the map ringing the bell and seeing what you come up against.

Find crashed helis... watch how many people find it and see if you could nail them

become a hero and shoot zeds of people who are bleeding and running ( start out from a distance and work upto close combat )

unload your pack and fill it just with medical supplies and go into cherno announcing the doctor is in ( yes this will probably get you killed v quickly )

go killing animals and cooking the meat, then go load other peoples tents with food as a survivor santa

put your mic on and in the direct channel run through a town asking if anyone wants assistance, start in a smaller town and if you r balls are big go into elektro

hide in a deer stand or barn, when people walk in go on mic and go "BOOO" be prepered to be shot or shoot them...

become a bounty hunter, go to the coast and find the new survivors, offer to "take out the man" for the price of 1 can of beans

whistle the A team tune and see how much fun the game becomes..

sing the muppet song " manamana" on global voice and see if other join in

I Could go on... you get the idea... no endgame, make your own

Kill yourself, and start all over.

This is not an option sir.

The starting phase is nothing more than crawling for about 2 hours [with no weapons its has only made it last longer but not very more fun i think] then with a little bit luck you have anything you need again.

Im not hoping for anything magic or a "real" endgame. But honestly i come from the Stalker world and expected some more to explore because if u saw 2 cities u saw every city. Some "zone" with massive zombies and destroyed / "corrupted" villages would be more itneresting ^_^

Im a big fan of the Idea behind the game thats why i buyed Arma2 to support the Idea . But this game definitly needs more interesting things than survival I see myself more a explorer than a survivor because surviving is reliative easy after u are out of the noob phae (I think it lasts about 5hours until you learn it).

If you are too worried about losing your kit, you either A) sit in a tree far inland away from the airfields etc and just cook meat and do nothing B) leave the game

This is all about risk v reward, do you go into town and risk getting killed .... losing the kit is what ups the tension and by not wanting to lose it you will take no risks and end up in a tree wondering if your playing a game or just tree watching

I say this as someone who survived and then went... hmm now what. So I ended up riding through cherno on a bike tinkling the bell.. yes I died but I havent laughed so hard seeing and hearing all the gunshots as they missed ( Well except the ones that hit)

Then go play Stalker. This game isn't supposed to be a recreation of Stalker. No one wants that. If you like the way Stalker did it, then go play that instead of whining about it. Also, if you don't like crawling around through towns, getting loot, then you don't like this game at all, because that is the core of this game.

It takes you two hours to find a weapon? Sheesh, I think you're doing it wrong. :|
