Obviously after you have narrowed down your search via ping , 3rd person , patch build etc...

What do you prefer servers that have

More or Less people on it ?

obviously both come with benefits a emptier server will have less bandits more loot , a server with more people in will have more human interaction a bit PVP fun etc

I prefer the full servers

I prefer servers with large pops. and also the home servers of clans. Both high pop servers, and clan servers (which ALWAYS have a high pop.) have so much pvping. I just find it fun to ambush, and be ambushed, by other players.

The way I see it less people = less bandits to an extent.

Less bandits = less chance of dying.

For me it's the more the merrier, up to a certain extend. From my experience its just utter chaos on the coast on a server that has 60+ people online...

On a high pop server without any gear a quick loot at cherno / elektro will result in atleast a handgun, some food and drinks and a ak or enfield most of the time. After that just look through the usual sniper camp spots and almost every time you will find someone sitting there with a ghillie and everything you'd want.That is the way I usually fill my camps with gear, just dump it in a vehicle on my "home" server and go naked to elektro again. It's surprisingly easy to do becouse the snipers are usually horrible and tunnel-vision the city so you can sneak within 50 meters and blow his brains with enfield. All you need to know is the general sniping spots.

Also trying to hold down elektro with friends on a high populated server is tons of fun.

Less than 20 people. 40-50 is far to many for the current cluster fucked map where you only have 4-5 places to get decent loot. One or two gunfights a day keep the blood flowing. 8-10 will lead to you dying regularly.

I prefer pop around 20-25. That way, there is loot, but there are also people. Rarely meet each other. Also less "OMGSOMEONESHOOT"
