Sgt Roberts 6 Posted July 24, 2012 Dear New Players,I'm a Veteran player who does not post on the forums too much. Please take note of what you are about to read...Don't trust anyone in this game unless you know them personally (or are in a clan on Teamspeak). Shoot first and ask questions laterIt's fight or flight, don't get too nervous!!!Stay in condition yellow (meaning stay alert at all times!)If something doesnt feel right, you probly shouldnt be doing it.If you feel like someone is watching you, they probly are...There is so many lessons I could teach all of you. I'm no MASTER at this mod, but my real life job put's me in the position to give substantially real and good advice as to how to survive in this mod. Trust no one, keep your friends close and your enemies closer, Wall Body Weapon (just because the building sounds empty, doesn't mean it is). If you want more advice on how to survive post below. I'm done playing this mod untill the dev's fix the hacking issues...And by those I mean one's such as me and my friend running through a forest and suddenly we get teleported to the NW airfield Industrial buildings and are shot down by the hackers. I had over 1100 zombie kills, NVG's, GPS, M4 CCO, and a TON more, only to get hacked by a couple of people that have their moral compasses extremely pointing in the wrong direction (that's putting it lightly). I hope you pick your server wisely... Even us vet's are vulnerable to peoples BS hacks...Semper FiSGT RobertsUSMC
Gogster (DayZ) 626 Posted July 24, 2012 There's so many topics for new players to stop them coming here and complaining that the game is too hard, I'm not sure yours will get picked up any more than the others. But have some beans for your efforts.
DZR_Mikhail 2424 Posted July 24, 2012 Sad to hear. Let's wait for Rocket to get his hands on Arma2\3 engine and finally rip out all the stupid vulnerabilities from the engine. I'm just curious why BIS are not fixing this issue. That's a mystery. I heard Dean say that BIS and BattleEye are cooperating and working hard on this... but, seriously, hackers are raging for almost a month! Developers are very cool programmers and can't invent some simple way to prevent injecting script, dammit! Can't get it. Give Rocket some tiny binarized part of engine with next beta patch and make all scripts flow there somehow, instead of writing to open memory, dammit.Sorry :( Just pissed off with hackers too and feel that soultion is somwhere near...
