But hasn't Rocket pretty much confirmed that he intends to make this a standalone release? If so, any suggestion could be useful, regardless if it will have use within the constraints of it being a mod for ArmA 2?

And the Arma is a highly modular engine...so yes, they can infact make big changes to it. However it will take longer time, than just picking the low hanging fruit.

Like, there was this guy who did some really fancy stuff with the Arma engine and a Hiveserver...oh and there were zombies. Wait, Sheeeeeeeiiitttt.

BTW, suggestion made now could ultimately go on the list of "to do" for a/the standalone version. So, You sir, Yes you Mr. ChunkyTomato. Know what the fuck you are talking about, or don't be a wiseass. Protip.

I know what I'm talking about. I'm talking about stupid suggestions like 'Cryengine 3 hurdur' and 'add parkour' and shit like that. Beyond that, there's not much else I can say.

Why not talk about those things? Sure, these may not be the best ideas, but the get the ideas rolling. So maybe not Cryengine 3, but maybe Rocket should consider finding a different engine when he brings it to a standalone version.

Maybe parkour is too extreme, but it points out that the environment is not nearly interactive enough, i.e. the difficulty climbing fences and such.

These suggestions aren't stupid, they stimulate more elaborate and in depth discussions and ideas.

I like how everyone keeps saying this, even though they already said that they can in theory make big changes, but it's not worth the bs and hard work when standalone would be so much easier...SO...watch an interview or two next time.
