joecheeze 0 Posted July 24, 2012 I can no longer play arma 2 oa vanilla since the new beta patches are required in DayZ. the game CTD right before launching into the game server. I also noticed that it is now impossible to roll back to a previous version without a reinstall of the entire game. Thus, the new beta versions are now refered to as 1.62 and the standard version allowed on the vanilla servers are 1.60. Is there any workaround that I am not aware of to be able to play both versions of the game simutaniously? If not, this is a pretty bad problem for those of us who like to play both arma 2 oa vanilla and dayz. Any help would be appreciated. I can post error reports per request.- tried and verified that you cannot roll back versions beta or full 1.60 patcth- tried to verify game integrity via steam as this is a steam install of the game whic was also unsuccessfull.- tried to run through six updater and verified that launching vanilla after patching to play in dayz will not work either. dakidmi 3 Posted July 24, 2012 This is the complicated stupid way I take when I want to play Insurgency without getting the message "ArmA2: Reinforcements has stopped working."-delete the beta folder in ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead/expansions-install 94876 beta version-download http://www.battleye.com/download.html v1.11 / v1.60 / v1.61.94876 BE Client for Windows (32-bit) - MD5: 6c3fc9824f0f7a548fcbac0171b14c65-replace it with old file in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\BattlEye\-run ArmA2:Combined operations through steam launcherI'm sure there's an easier way, but next to smaching my fist through my monitor, this is the best I can do for now.This was posted on my thread yesterday when I asked pretty much the same thing you're asking about.
