[GRAPHICS] Anyone know what this issue is?

Recommended Posts

PjKTQ.png

So my friend just got Arma from steam so we could play together however he can't play at all because of what seems to be a rendering issue. He has no lag whatsoever but everything kinda just flashes in and out when he tries to look around.

Someone suggested using ramdisk to solve the issue but it didn't seem to bear any results

So would anyone know what the issue is?

System Specs:

Intel i3-330m (2.1ghz)

Intel HD Graphics (Ironlake)

4gb Ram

Windows 7 64bit

He uses sixupdater to run the game and has beta build 95248 with a steam key

Thank you!

Hello

Firstly, I take it that's a laptop?

Secondly, check the bis forums for recommended drivers for your GFX card.

Rolling back to an older stable version has helped me in the past with this issue.

Heya, this is definitely a video card/driver issue. (RAMDISK ? lol, havent heard ramdisk in decades). I would ensure that you have the latest video drivers for your card. The easy way to check and update your video drivers is through Steam. In the top right of your Steam toolbar, under 'Steam' is an option to check for latest drivers. Try that first.

EDIT: Top Left, sorry.

Haha idk, someone suggested it so we thought we might as well try it since we didn't know what else to do

And yeah, drivers were already updated :\
