How often do you meet another player?

Recommended Posts

I can never seem to find anyone in DayZ, even when I am playing on a high cap server. Is this a good or bad thing? I really like meeting new people and teaming up with them.

Because of people's tendencies to shoot on sight this is a good thing. The only downside would be missing that rare player encounter where the guy is friendly.

Generally speaking, it's best just to team up with your friends. Random people are pretty much always going to try to murder you. Even if they say they're friendly, they'll probably just kill you the first time you turn your back and loot your corpse.

The only good people I have met are ones that are armed with a crowbar or an ax or nothing. The rest just shoot me ._.

you are very lucky never to see anyone in this game. i was just killed after trying to log into multiple servers only get booted or kicked. reason why i had to keep trying to log in, hacker attacked the server and teleported me to the area i was killed in previous. dont see how this game could last if Rocket doesnt do something. if he thinks the game is gonna last at all with just "polish" he is insane. this game will never become what he wants it to be with the rampant hacking.

I meet people very often when I want to, but I don't want to most of the time. Woods = No players, Cities/Airfields = Lots of players.

After a few days of playing:

Afk in wild.

Afk in wild.

Afk in wild.

Guy at Barn who saved my ass.

Guy at Barn minding his own business.

Guy at Barn minding his own business.

Guy at Elektro who killed me with Hatchet.

Guy at Elektro who chopped my Legs with Hatchet, stood there and mocked me, then ran.

Bandit at Elektro.

Bandit at Elektro.

When a hacker comes, its ok to hit Alt F4 or whatever.

Not that often, every time I run into one they shoot me or try to axe me up. Now I just avoid people or go prone and hide if I see them nearby (watching them get chased by zombies is actually pretty relaxing, "thank raptor Jesus that's not me").

If I am going AFK I log out just to be safe.
