cycoconutz 0 Posted July 24, 2012 We are all friends on steam, but since the Six-Launcher patch hardly any server will let me connect. So instead I just hit quick match and get joined into a random server. I can't figure out how to find out what server I'm in to let my friends know. Is there an easier way for coordinating games? Tenebris Draco 63 Posted July 24, 2012 When you join, when you load in you can Alt+Tab out and the server you joined should be highlighted in the Six Launcher.
Disgraced 1123 Posted July 24, 2012 If the option is enabled, you can press "I" in game.
Adjta (DayZ) 37 Posted July 24, 2012 You can use http://www.dayzcommander.com/. It's a slightly more efficient DayZ launcher than SixLauncher. Check which servers have a low population and room for all of you. If you don't remember what server you joined you can use "i" to check your server's info. cycoconutz 0 Posted July 24, 2012 thanks so much for the quick replies! I'm still getting bad version connection rejected on a lot of servers though. does this normally happen after a patch?
petermann2 19 Posted July 24, 2012 (edited) As far as I know this server-rejection-thing happens if your Arma runs another beta patch than the server you try to connect.I recommend you to download the DayZ Commander which Adjta already mentioned above. With the DayZ Commander you can see which version you have installed and you have the option to manually update your beta patch etc.Once you know which beta patch your Arma is running, you can just put it in the filter (for example: 95208). All listed servers should work for you then. That's how I handle it. If there are other/better methods, please let me know. :) Edited July 24, 2012 by Aranthir
