As the title states, these messages isnt... relevant

What if:

Player X was shot by player Y using weapon M

Or maybe just player X was killed by player Y

Player X got munched on by zombies

:)

I would rather the killfeed be gone completely and used for the proposed radio broadcasts.

I think the fact that they show at all is immersion breaking. You wouldn't know this information in reality so why would you know it in the game? Keeping in mind that this is meant to be a real life simulator not so much a game. Just my 2 cents on the subject.

I have to say no to the stoping of the text animations. Its my persona man.

I think I speak for the majority of the forum when I say that it is just obnoxious.

If they were within your sight then yes that would work. But displaying it to the whole server is highly unrealistic. If someone got shot in Zub would I really need to know that when I'm in Electro?

Imho, show who died in your FOV. I mean kind of like a Direct Communication channel for dying. Idk. If you're shooting at someone irl it'd be easier to tell if they're dead then in the game. The only problem I foresee with this is at nighttime when you can't see shiznip, and it displays who died, you would get information unrealistically. Sorry if you don't understand. I'm crappy in these kinda things.

imo it would add to the social side of the game if the death screen said:

X was killed by Y.

yes it's a bit unrealistic and might give you some godly senses, but imagine how awesome it would be (even if you're not involved) to see Y, Z, A, B and C all killed by X. then shortly after "X killed by D"... *wow D, you fecking hero*.

It can stay as Player X died. But when you study the body it should say "His name was X, he died from a hatchet."

I agree with this, though I do think the messages should go away completely. The message answers the question "is that obscured guy I was shooting at actually dead?" and thus robs you of the fun of firing extra "just to be sure" rounds, approaching carefully and then actually finding the body there, and then lastly discovering his name through investigation.

i think removing the death messages would somewhat negate the sense of other human players existing in the game.

i like being informed that some random stranger guy has died somewhere.

even with enemy players running around; if we aren't reminded about stuff going on that you cannot see, then it's not much different from playing offline against AI survivors. imo that is kinda boring.

THis way we can better fight against hackers and griefers.

Half the time we have no idea who's hacking unless we kill them.
