how to remember your main server?

I recommend using DayZCommander as it shows your recently joined servers, has a lot more options for selecting if you'd like crosshairs,nameplates,third person etc.

B/c it takes a genius level IQ to figure that one out. You can also change your filter so that only your main server will show up.

I second this. Still, keep around a pencil and paper of Notepad to write down tent locations and other things

If you use Six Launcher you can start favorite servers. I try to do it for ones that I've had good luck with.
