How can i tell of people hear me when i speak. When pressing caps i can see a green or white microphone in my screen. But no one ever responds to what i say. My microphone volume is set to max.

Are you in direct chat? If what I was told is correct, the direct chat range is only about 80 meters or so. People will only hear you if you are very close to them.

I assume the mic works otherwise?

EDIT: There is another thread somewhere with somebody having a similar issue. Someone had mentioned that the server may also not have VOIP enabled, in which case you simply will not be able to use your mic on that server.

IT probably works, but as said above, you gotta be pretty damn close, and even then. I suggest typing first, then trying to talk, if he's not putting bullets down range at you yet that is.

I dont get it though.

There is a white and green version of the microphone. One for direct communication and one for group. Which is green..

what are the differences and how do they differ from range?

I wouldn't worry about Group, I don't bother with it, I just work with Direct.

make sure it's the white mic (direct chat). The green one is useless. Also, some people just don't respond. I suggest shooting them.

From what I understand, voice chat is effective at 50 meters. However, it becomes more faint until completely unheard at 100 meters
