Snipers = Shoot on sight

Recommended Posts

Just thought I'd throw this out there. I've met loads of new people.. all dedicated to the arma franchise and they miss shots. But im a cod kid so comet me.

I also have quick scoped since CoD4, and played a tonne of BF3.

Please explain how I am worse at sniping because of this.

The CoD and BF series of games are nowhere near as real as Arma when it comes to sniping. You need to calculate trajectory speed vs target movement, range, elevation etc.

lol, didn't want to bring up the Arma vs CoD/BF3 part, but now you're at it, both games characterize themselves by having closely packed environments. Yes, BF3 has large maps and yes, I've sniped from 1500 meters myself in BF3, but the bullet calculations are no where close to how the Arma engine calculate bullet trajectories, no harm meant versus BF3/CoD players (I've played BF3 as well...).

So fucking what?

The times I had an M107 I've hit moving targets at 700 metres, my point is sniping on those games has no effect on my skill here at all.

Who cares if they are more tightly packed or the bullet drop is less* on those games?

Good players can snipe no matter what the conditions, albeit with a bit of practise.

The issue is when people reference Cod/BF as why they can snipe, where their practice comes from.

Also, your aggreviated responses suggest that is the case since it makes you look butthurt.

Every sniper I see, They always shoot me on sight so I always try and get them to waste a few bullets on me missing and then I log. :)

GG

Does anyone agree though or is this just me?

You have already been shot, you just thought that u disconnected, but in reality u have already been shot. You're just in a coma believing that u Disconnected. Edited by Sincerely

If a sniper wastes a couple of shots before you disconnect you're not dealing with a sniper in the first place but with a wannabe marksman, most likely of the CoD/BF3 type. A true sniper only requires one shot and you won't have any opportunity to disconnect, nor will you ever see one.

Some snipers provide over watch, although by nature snipers operate alone to decrease the likelihood of detection.

You were just born hard weren't you?

I play BF3 and I'm a great sniper, including sniping people at 1000m+ and even 600m+ shots where a player was 1ft from my teammate

You should have just said "I'm so good at being evasive that I had to disconnect to prevent him from wasting further ammunition." Oh, how kind of you!
