What should i do next? Surviving is easy!

Recommended Posts

Ok i'm a solo player, enjoying the game greatly. My character is 6 days old.. I have all the gear needed

I've been finding good heli sites up north... and have had my hands on all the top weapons. FN FAL ANPV S4, Bizon SD , M249, AS50, etc etc. Have NVGs. Presently i'm armed with the elusive L85A2 AWS and a M14. I don't go to the NW Airfiled.. as a solo player it is pretty much suicide with no rewards.

So.. I'm not quite sure what to do now. Since finding the L85A2 AWS i feel my 'find loot & survive' stage of the game has finished. I could continue hunting up north.. but that will get boring quick.

If i try and help new players i'm gonna get shot in the back for sure.. my gear would be a wet dream for most new characters. But this is still tempting to try. I might head south and try and be the good Samaritan.

Or i might attempt to become a bandit hunter. But this has significant problems. How do i ID a bandit.. i bet i look like a bandit to anyone else.. all kitted up. I have 4 murders to my name... none of which were cold blooded.. most were simply done in fear.

Or do i just become a bandit! :o

What would you do?

Join a clan/group/faction and become apart of something bigger.

This.

And wait until more content is added.

Rocket has had numerous interviews as of late, and it seems like some good indepth stuff is on its way.

Nah.. no interest in clans.. I don't feel Dayz is suited to clans, make it too easy.. and can't stand high pitched voices :P

This is quite tempting!

Bandit Campfire

Look deep within and you'll see that you already are the bandit.

I think a bandit with standards is a good calling. Stay up north and hunt the hunters and well armed survivors alike! I have no interest in hunting players will bbguns & hatchets.

Goodbye Survivor HQ hello Bandit Campfire! :bandit:

I was in such situation some times ago, and decided to set up a tent outside a grocery in Polana. It was my "Tent of Mercy" and I kept it stuffed with usefull things I found while looting the town. I saw people resupplying and even met one guy face to face (gave him transfusion, lots of stuff, and told him how to change backpack). It gave me a lot of satisfaction - more then any succesful murder could possibly give.

That's a good idea...

Go look for other survivors to shoot. It's what everyone does once they realise that surviving is so easy that it's practically pointless playing as a survivor.

You should go to one of the big towns, find a nice spot where you can see most of the town and chill. What until you see survivors run in, then watch em and see if some one trys to kill them. If so kill that person if you can, or just wait until the survivor gets armed and geared then ruin his/her day. I heard theres bear traps now, set some of those up and see what you hook.

He is not the hero they deserve, but the hero they need.

He is, ballcap man.

Player killing!

...I'm joking, but only slightly. Once you're self-sufficient and carry top gear, there isn't much else to do...

I'm almost in the same boat... tooled up, loads of food and all the kit.

There doesn't seem to be an end-game for the survivor role; bandits have player killing which is an indefinite task, as a survivor once you're stocked up you have no purpose... it's killed the game for me to be honest. I'd like there to be a way survivors can equal the score with bandits without resorting to the same game. I don't know what that could be to be honest. Maybe on reaching a military checkpoint on the edge of the map you could order a strike on a given town at the expense of starting over again; or in the very least get some kind of badge of recognition. Otherwise what else is there to do?
