Slow to load on full server?

Recommended Posts

Anyone have this problem? My server is EXTREMELY slow to load players from the connect window in when it's nearly full. I only play on my server so I'm not sure if it's an issue on anyone else's? The server performance is fine once you finally load in, it's just getting in the game that seems so slow.

Loading into servers (For me anyway) is pretty slow sometimes, and pretty regular at others.

Longest I had it was maybe 5 minutes to load in.

Yeah when my server is at 40+ it's about 3-5 minutes to load.

Just an update. I had an SSD installed on my server and load times were cut down dramatically. It's now 1-2 mins down from 5-7.

I don't think it's related, disk is pretty much idle in resource monitor when someone is stuck on loading screen.

+1 same on the our servers. When capacity is near to maximum - load time dynamicly grows to 2-4 minutes.

  1. Who hosts your server?
  2. Also you have daily restarts?
  3. How big is your scripts.log and RPT file?
  4. Also find out from your host on how many servers are on a box.
