Clothing and some advantages

Recommended Posts

Okay, few people suggested that DayZ should implement more clothing,

I gathered some clothes and here they are:

Clothes:

Civilian Euroman http://www.armatechs...roMan01_EP1.jpg

Doctor Clothes

http://www.armatechs..._Hladik_EP1.jpg (Can apply Bloodbag on himself)

Pilot

http://www.armatechs...l/Pilot_EP1.jpg (could be warmer at night and winter, see : http://dayzmod.com/f...me/#entry364472)

Soldier Suit (VERY RARE)

http://www.armatechs...r_Scout_EP1.jpg (More room in Backpacks, but speed is slower)

For me it would be less about implementing more player models or skins that are stuck to your character. But to actually implement old clothes laying on the ground, in clothes banks, on corpses. It would be great to find a large raincoat with like 8 pockets big enough to store some more items etc. The benefits of shorts and a wife beater during summer and a pair of boots, a hat and gloves for winter.

Would love to see that kind of stuff

I dont mind this down the road but they really need to work on the duping/alt-f4ing/hacks bugs before implementing these

Hey, good work.

I would love if we could select one of those civilian skins at spawn instead of the current outfit. I would give the game a better 'feel' I think, more "Oh-Shit-it's-the-apocalypse" than "Move-along-I've-got-this". If you know what I mean.

Having the larger variety of skins would also help make the place feel more real.

Like the secretary, some of these don't make sense. But new skins/clothing will be in dayz, don't you worry. Especially if it moves to Arma 3.

What's wrong with the secretary? Why does it not make sense?

Because it isn't fitting in a zombie apocalypse.

Sure it is fitting. The zombie genre have always been about 'everyman' characters, not super soldiers. I think it would be a lot more interesting to see what 'Mrs Bigglesworth from accounting' would do in an apocalypse than what 'Rambo' would do.

Secretaries exist in the world. How does it not fit a zombie apocalypse? lol

I honestly want the clothes to become more relevant, with that the weather and seasons need to be relevant also for it to work IMO. But they could shape certain types of characters definitely

I can't see someone staying in a pant suit and maybe high heels? but I know you mean, sure.

Obviously you're not a woman. I can tell you, looks > comfort. Duh.

THIS.

I WANT THIS SO DAMN BAD.

but it wouldn't be fair for me to be able to use blood bags on myself all the time, so it should come with a penalty to another stat, would make it more fair :)

Yeah, I thought it too, but these elements that i've put it's just to make people think something to add with clothes, like the military one :

He is able to pick some extra weight but he is slower, and that's how it should be, you sacrifice some stats in order to get others. :)
