Great deathmatch / team deathmatch mod !

Hi all,

People told me it was a nice survival mod, but it's more a nice deathmatch game where people kill people for fun and on first sight. I played 6 games and was killed every time by a human while i was writing to them to team up and share a nice experience.

Too bad I spend 20€ to play a DM game... SIC

I bought ARMA2 + OA to play this, yeah.

It's not because it's my first post that my opinion has less value than yours. yes you can call me n00bz0r or whatever if your ego needs it.

Problem is on gaming newspapers and website they write this mod is great... maybe it was in the past i don't know, i've heard of bandits skins but it seems it's not there anymore. I feel sorry that team play and cooperating doesn't get more attention from players.

It doesn't always happen. I was in Elektro today and spawned where I saw 3 guys with hatchets circling around each other. I joined in the circle, but none of us actually hit each other. I've also worked with a few people in the game.

It does, you just decided that logging in and running around was going to net you a group that desperately wanted you to join them.

Sorry it didn't work out that way. Welcome to DayZ. Try hitting up the Survivor sub-forum and find yourself a group to play with.

If that's not up to your standards, then maybe this really isn't the game for you. Arma 2 has a lot of other great mods to offer that you could look into.

We're engaging in the DayZ pastime. Beating up noobs because the game is incomplete, we have uber-gear, and we're bored. And his reaction to the game is funny.

He's right, you guys don't need to roast him because we all know this game needs some sort of fix to increase the amount of cooperation between players (a fix is not apparent as of yet so the problem persists) IMO

OP might of saved my life, because that was my plan once the world ended.

Also, whoever charged you that price for DayZ ripped you off. Tell your friends I will sell it to them for $1.

I imagine this game as the experience of going to prison.. the forecast shows a high chance of surprise buttsex but if you rough it out and stay in long enough, while able to suck up the first 10-20 anal excursions in your own backyard, then you have a chance of becoming a member of the hardened grp, OR you can end up being the whiny little sob you are right now :D

While I haven't participated in a tactical server, I've seen my share of videos and it is quite astounded how well everyone is working together and enjoy it all the same.

DayZ just has that mentality of being the lonely gunmen and a lack of trust between people.

I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but you simply need to improve your survival skills. Most people are going to shoot you on sight because you as a human player pose a threat to them. If you are looking to survive you need to avoid unknown players because you have to assume they will shoot you. If you want people to play in a group with, ask around on the forums. Don't just blindly trust random people you come across in game, that's a very very foolish thing to do. This is the end of days, not a camping trip.

Player hierarchy = Survivor - lone, newly spawned, faithful. Gets killed becomes -> Bandit - lost faith in humanity, kills all. Gets killed loses everything and very rarely (3%) becomes -> Medic/survivor guardian - Work with eachother to protect the survivor class and slow bandit creation. Human decency may not apply in DayZ, but there are some that try to help out. Even silently sometimes. PVP is a possibility, but we are all trying to survive so you really can't blame them.Don't lose faith, get back up, and get back in the fight.

Don't get me wrong I still preffer to play hard and stay alone but I sometimes like to argue points for what's right and wrong and also help defend other people against meanies :) Lol :P

I won't lie here, I'm a medic with a team of 4. Normally keep 2 snipers with me at all times, I always bring a second primary weapon so if I run across some new players. One time I walked up to a guy and all he had was a hatchet, so i decided not to give him the "I have 2 snipers sighting you right now, i'm trying to help you" line. Just said "hey guy, need some supplies?" instead of most people when they have an axe and see a player behind them normally yell friendly, he dashed at me swinging. I ran, the whole time trying to avoid him getting shot, i warned him one last time, he finally hit me. wounded my snipers took him out with what sounded like 2 shots in one. Still regret having to take him out, but hey it happens.

Hopefully you have a better experience this time :D
