WTF Is the point now?

Really? What the fuck is the point of playing this game legit now? I mean I hate to sound like i'm whining here and I know somebody will come along and say that's exactly what I am doing, but what's the point? With the massive influx of hackers as of late and how server admins have to jump through hoops to get people banned why don't we all just hack? What is the use of Battleye? What a worthless piece of garbage this thing is. I mean I thought PUNKBUSTER was bad, but Battleye takes the cake and the worthless meter. It doesn't block anything, it updates and doesn't stop a single person from using scripts in Arma.

Don't give me the excuse that this is alpha, this has nothing to do with Alpha, this is all about the anti-hack software this game uses and the way it forces admins to dig through massive text files just to find scripts. I spend hours on end searching for and gathering equipment for me and my clan. We go all over looking for chopper crashes and hitting the airfield non-stop for hours on end every single night only to have some script kiddy come shit on us and destroy in 30 seconds (or less) what it took 30 hours to put together.

Completely stupid. The massive influx of hackers almost MAKES me want to pick up hacking because what's the old saying? Notice I said almost, I won't stoop that low but I will just give this game up all together. Mind you, I love this game and believe it has a lot of potential but the hacking is WAY out of control right now.

Yeah that is it, and I believe it fits. So freaking frustrated right now. Died twice to hackers in the past 48 hours and the admin can't find them because he has a 2 gb file to go through to find the information he needs to ban them.

U mad bro? It takes maybe an hr to get well geared maybe less if you have tents stop whining and remember this was an experimental alpha mod they are letting everyone play...maybe you should wait until the standalone version comes out.

I think this is a major issue. You basically need a video from a player showing someone exploiting, logs from the server host, and then send them over to the DayZ team, at which point the exploiter may or may not receive a mere warning for being a first-time offender. Everything has to go perfectly for someone to get caught and unless it's a blatant script or hack, they walk away with a warning. Good luck having the planets align correctly for them to ever get caught gain.

No matter what game you play, your going to run into hackers. I dont think I have ever seen an anti-cheat system that really worked the way it should. I have played ARMA for a LONG time and seen all kinds of dumb crap. The thing that really bothers me the most out of everything. No Jumping. really.

PS: I know you cherno humpers think getting a Lee Enfield, Alice Pack and a makarov is well geared so don't be surprised when people question your meaning of "Well Geared".

Though, I agree, hacking is out of control at the moment. Priceless and I have lost vehicles and our lives to hackers before. However it is really not hard to gear up, especially if you kill somebody with gear. I guess not everybody has that kind of luck. Priceless is our murdering son of a bandit, and I'm pretty good at finding people's camps. (It's rather boring, but I'm patient...) Basically, dieing is part of the game anyway. I'm not really a rage-quitter kinda person. Maybe once in a blue moon.

My idea of well geared under an hour:

Respawn on coast, head to balota af, if lucky get an AR either from the med camp or the hangar/tower

then head to cherno raid shops and houses, restaurants, medcamp get map, bag, food, drink, compass and ammo.

Camp near the hospital or factory roof and snipe an unsuspecting survivor, loot corpse get even more stuff.

Head out through the factories and get tool box, some other stuff.

Then head to zelenogorsk and use the powerlines to get you to starry, raid the camps, head to nwaf and repeat.
