So how does one know when there might be a situation that they get cold other than seeing the thermometer drop?

If there's no avoidance of that situation, a dropping thermometer is just arbitrary and dumb.

+Broken bones and the shakes. Imagine having them all at once. Say you get an infection by a Z and you have to cure it, but the Z also breaks your legs so you have to take morphine. All the while your bleeding, dying of thurst and need to eat something before you catch cold geting caught out in the rain. It's all good. We'll see how it plays out.

Indeed DayZ needs to be all about survival, not just getting weapons and PvP. And catching a cold in a world where medical supplies and warm cozey homes are a rarity is a very dangerous and real thing.

Would you rather just have a health bar that regenerates? If so, there are more than enough games for you.

Btw, this medical system is not hard.

I've been in ACE servers where you just have to carry the guy because he won't wake the fuck up. And if you didn't know, ACE implements a weight system, so really, you end up having a whole squad of casualties from carrying the guy.

Example:

IED goes off

Private dipshit goes down

"Medic!"

*stop the bleeding with like 9 bandages, give him 3 shots of morphine, pump him full of epi*

"FUCK HE WON'T WAKE UP"

"Just put him in the back of the Vic"

Yeah I'm not whining man. Just said I don't like to micromanage shit. The animations take a long time to complete. It annoys me sometimes. I didn't' say it was hard either. Yes it is super easy. When I say it's all good, that's what I meant. It's all good. Meaning I'm not debating anything with you or anyone else. I'm stating an opinion on what I might or might not like. Hahaha. I can't wait to see dayz spergs explain to noobs that they died of a cold because they didn't have antibiotics before they went into water. Like its some sort of normal thing that they should expect to happen.

When I have a cold I don't take any antibiotics, I just keep the normal eating and drinkin (And I eat mostly garbage) and get better in a couple of days.

Please, don't make this like if you don't take antibiotics you will die, it is NOT freaking realistic.

I hadn't read the whole topic before, now I see the talking about getting wet.

Getting a cold and being wet on rain, without being able to just stay down the day will certainly drop the immune system badly.

I mean, I DO want this game to become more dangerous, as we see, the life expectancy has increased badly (if it's the same, it's because of the increased bandity lately, but environmental deaths are becoming rare) but a cold, idk, maybe it could kill sometimes, but I'd prefer if it's hard to happen.
