Realism vs Styalized elements : Horror elements

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I've often come across people saying the game is aimed at realism, and often suggestions are dismissed because they are not "realistic" (never mind that zombies are completely unrealistic to begin with ^^)

Anyway, I was wondering what you guys thought about the idea of introducing more horror elements into the game.

We all remember our first play through at night and how scary it was when you didn't know anything about the game and every groan and creeeeking noise made you sh*t your pants.

Do you think it would be a good idea to introduce things like *special* zombies which spawn randomly and are faster/stronger/lethal if you don't kill them before they reach you? (preferably once the zombie jerky mechanics are addressed)

Things like roaming packs of wolves that spawn randomly in the forests around the continent?

Maybe introduce things like increased spawn rates at night for certain desirable items (to encourage more night players).

To get yourself in the mood of for stylized survival horror watch this trailer =)
