Chain kicking is an offense that can get your server banned. It's frustrating that this was done to prevent our group from finishing looting their camp.

Pretty self-explanatory video. Don't know if blacklisting is the right move, but they should most definitely get some sort of a punishment.

Unacceptable. People like this need to be made examples of.

Yeah and not only did he kick him, but any time a CQF member tried to get on his server he would tell us to "go away" in a mean way and kick us off. He would not stop doing so after multiple times trying to get into the server.

Here is just more proof of him kicking us CQF for no reason.

Hey ya'll. Im goliath, nice to meet you. Anyways, I was kicking CQF clan members for one reason, grid searching. We are a small server with roughly 15 people max at all times. But over the past week, he CQF clan has been joining our server with over 20 people, searching our map for everything, and hoarding everything in their own corner of the map. We dont do this and we own the server, so I believed that this was an alright reason to kick them and allow our players to have fun again. Like litterally, i went to their camp and they had like all the vehicles and 30+ tents filled with everything. I myself, have one vehicle, and I park it in a town when I go to bed, so someone else can have fun with it. Sorry if this is against the rules, but honestly, if they want to ruin everyone experience on our server, they can just spend $40 and buy their own for all I care.

Thanks, Goliath.

- Their are only two reasons why you, as a server owner, should ban a player on your server. Those two reasons are: Malicious talk, and racism. You may not ban a user for stealing your loot, killing you, spying on you, etc.

- You may only kick for disruptive behavior (such as continued VOIP over side channel). But you may not kick due to race or language or because the person does something you do not like.

- Kicking for extremely excessive ping or desync is permitted, but if abused is grounds for blacklisting

Failure to adhere to these rules will BAN YOUR SERVER'S IP from DayZ.

Quoted from the general server rules.

Sorry, but if you can't stick to the rules you ain't getting my beans.

There are so many posts about abusive admins playing the game for their own benefit, but this is one of the first times that I actually feel the admin has a point.

If a clan are paying for a server and are swamped by a larger clan moving in to dominate and take advantage, like it seems here, I can actually agree that this can be justified.

Not the chain kicking or carebear crap, but if a clan has over 20 people, I'm asking myself, why the hell don't they just get their own server?

Have you tried opening up a discussion with them and asking them to leave for a more populated server with more slots?

Before anyone else jumps in and starts qouting server terms of service, look at this objectively and as if you were renting a 40 slot server where another clan moved in and used up more than 50% of the available slots every day.

We own 4 servers, we don't come in and fill a server, most of the time our members split up into smaller groups of 10-15 and work together. I can honestly say after seeing those videos that US 750 will become my new home server. I will be running all my major ops in CQF solely on that server.

Hope to get to know you real soon Goliath, were going to be seeing alot of each other real soon.

This admin just opened up a can of worms. Ill be sure to visit your server soon with 6-10 guys and go grid searching. This isnt counter-strike where you make your own rules.

CQF guys ill mail you grid locations.

I can understand feeling like your server is getting overrun by another group of players but honestly man, the way you handled this was pretty much the wrong way at every juncture. Most of our players are content to play on our own servers but sometimes, updates or network issues cause them to go down. Are you suggesting that we should just not play because we might make another server owner butthurt? Instead of just dealing with the situation, you got caught blatantly breaking the rules and as a result might lose your server. Way to handle a less than desirable situation.

Talk about being an idiot. Good luck with losing your server. You do realize that CQF does have a quarrel in this, that if they lose the server, they lose their stuff too, right? But instead of being attachment crazy, we are doing the right thing. Making sure you wasted money on a server.

The guy doesn't want a bunch of clan members flooding his server.. It seems that they have no real dedicated server or they could use that server. Instead they alienate an entire server. The admin has a point in kicking you guys. The CQF members should just buy their own server

I guess they don't like "{CQF}" members. ;)

Not possible, CQF is led by Johnny "DayZ Rock Star", so not possible :)

I actually agree with what the admin did and believe he was justified in doing so, even if he did it rather ungracefully. After all, what is an admin to do when some lousy clan is ruining his server for everyone else? RedFaction and Hashisx just drove the nail into the ground with that little "HUEHUE WE'RE GONNA MAKE IT EVEN WORSE FOR EVERYONE" comment up there. If you're paying for the server, I think we can have a little lenience with the rules concerning situations like this.

Meepo, he isnt just kicking CQF members, the admins of the server are kicking everyone from the server!

Ryddler has just emptied the server so he and his bumchum can loot without risk.

Yes I admit, I maybe didnt go about it the right way, but after a week of letting them know that I did not want this on the server, that if they wanted to have a clan base, to do it on their own server. Sure its not exactly in the rules, but you guys are ABUSING the game. by hoarding everything on a map. its just plain unfair, and I believe thats what rocket was going for when he made the rules. He wants, stranger interaction, not huge clans raiding small servers.

You guys can say all you want 'Oooh we got 4 servers we didnt raid his' and I can honestly say thats bullshit, unless your 4 other servers, are complete shit. But the fact remains, I admin a server, out of the 300+ that are out there. And I want to keep my regular players happy, and random players happy aswell. And for anyone who has been playing Day Z for over a week or 2, does not want to walk all the way across the map, so they go looking for vehicles. I had one guy that I didnt even know complain to me that hes been grid searching, just him. just to find ONE vehicle, but because your base was off the map, he couldnt find any.

So please explain to me how this is admin abuse? Chainkicking sure, but if I had the ability to ban, I would have done that. When it comes to something like this, I honestly dont think its abuse. Its me trying to keep the majority of the players happy, and if that means kicking a clan whom just goes around hoarding vehicles and what not. Then so be it....

And that brings me to my closing point. Its clear to see who is in the right, because I am not trying to ruin your game experience any further (Or at all if you really think about it) Yet you guys keep on making posts about how you guys are just going to raid the server, because ur sad that someone does not like you outnumbering our players.

Oh and to everyone who is like 'GG on loosing money', 1 its not even just my server, about 5 of my buddies all chipped in for it. And 2, our month ends in 3 days, so you didnt make us loose anything :)....

But im just checking now, and I'm getting alot of msgs from all you CQF guys saying that my server is already down among other things, well its not, its still rockin....

So Rocket I hope you can see how this clan has ruined the game experience of not just me, but basically all the players on my server. And its not a simple 'oooh he stole my vehicle QQ' (Im not that immature).

It sounds like you want to allow server admins to punish a clan for being successful.

Goliath said he only kicked because he thinks his 'regulars' (10 to 20 people) paid their $40 and deserve to play. I find that kind of ironic, because by kicking off the clan members (also 10 to 20 people) he's effectively doing the exact same thing he's trying to prevent. He's ruining the experience for the 10 to 20 people he kicked who also paid $40 to play the game. So that entire excuse is just a scapegoat.

Also note, 10 to 20 people is a drop in the bucket when referring to the total number of CQF members. It's not like the CQF intentionally swarmed a server to degrade the experience for others. The only real way around this would be to force clans to have a max number of players, which isn't going to happen.

If there's going to be anyone supporting Goliath's actions, then they need to complain to Rocket and NOT CQF. This is a game in Alpha and if you want the gameplay changed then complain to the developers, not the game players.

Btw, Goliath, your 'regulars' have just as much ability to change servers and go elsewhere to avoid CQF if they don't want to play on a server with them. By hosting a DayZ server, you are agreeing to follow the very simple rules outlined by Rocket and the Dev Team. In this case, you are clearly breaking those rules. You're better off admitting it, apologizing, and moving on.

Actually you are thinking backwards here, if you hadn't broken the rules and chain-kicked them all then this would all be a non-issue. You actually ruined the game experience for just as many, if not more players than you were trying to protect. Irony at its best!
