What's the best way to proceed when you die?

Whenever I get killed Im usually taken to the "you died" screen which says something along the lines of "Go back to the character selection screen to continue".

I was wondering what was the best way to proceed from here since Respawn doesnt seem to work here and I cant find the character selection menu.

What I normally do is hit disconnect and then rejoin, but I am aware that this puts an additional load on the server and if possible I would like to avoid that.

That's exactly what you're supposed to do! :)

(The list of the Character/Players names is the Character Selection menu. If you haven't played Arma before thats why you don't know, 'cause we don't need to select chars on DayZ)

Go all the way back to the "lobby", but don't disconnect. Then hit OK as if you just joined.
