SUV car

Yesterday i was playing with some friends driving a bus we have just found, and suddenly we saw a SUV, that was really weird because we didn't found anything about this car on the wiki page, or in the dayz forum, it was all complete and ready to drive, we took it and left it into our place, but when the server restarted the car was gone and we didn't found it.

We still don't know what was that, so is it common to find that car on servers?or was it a hacker or anything else?

Hacker must've spawned it. SUVs don't randomly spawn :P

I found one in bad condition at Novy lug, tire missing, engine and fuel tank damaged...it's strange, it doesn't look like being spawned...

I just started my own server to try out, private for now. And later on I want to make it public.

I used http://www.tunngle.n...rver-installer/ with a default instalment.

So no hackers, no hive, no noting. And it spawned an SUV... (in need of repairs)

I was like WTF? I haven't seen that thing on the wiki. So I'm trying to look it up and everyone says it's spawned in!

But their are no other people on my server. (Hell if I encountered it on a public server I'd say it was hacked!)

So I don't know what it is with the thing, but it might be a fault somewhere. Anyway it doesn't necessarily need hackers!

(or that server pack is just messed up...)

Hey Saltamontes, same thing happened on a private hive I play on (which was only set up a few days ago). It was near Novy Lug, pretty beat up. Spent a few hours repairing it before the admin learnt I had it and despawned it. He assumed a hacker had spawned it in, although a friend said he saw it a day beforehand which meant it had survived >2 server restarts.

Yeah looks to me like it's legit, maybe other servers have it turned off or something.

But I don't think it's on the blacklist from all ARMA 2 vehicles.

This thing is probably the best car in the game.

-Built in GPS !!!!!

-fits up to 6 people (at least it has 6 seats, haven't tested it)

-high speed on road (fastest I think, bit faster then the GAZ)

-good speed off road

-very silent engine !!

-dunno about the items yet but my guess is the "standard" 10/50/2 (gonna check that later)

ps. yes near Novy Lug! In the field(ish) next to a single house with a roof above it. Realy hard to spot!!

(if hackers did it it wouldn't be on the same spot...)

That is normally a Motorcycle spawn. I have seen vehicles morph into other vehicles after restarts. Mainly bicycles into dirt bikes.

This could be an example of that, I cannot confirm this though.

But that map is not accurate with vehicle spawns for the server I'm running.

I noticed that with the 1st vehicle I found, it was in a spot not indicated on the map.

I checked the database with navicat and on my server that is a SUV spawning point, not a motorcycle one.

So it's not a morph after restart. (not in this case at least)

I don't know why this server has different spawning points then the others, but apparently mine is not the only one.

(there are spawning points that are the same as indicated on the map)

I did have a Ural change colours after a server restart though... :)

Come to think of it, I have noticed different spawns on different servers. This is an interesting one. I'd love to have an SUV but I thought it was not in the standard DayZ.

Not sure if it was stated if these were public hive servers. If they are private hive, that could mean the difference.
