Vehicle headlights broken??

Sorry in advance if this is a repost, I looked through the new player's vehicle guide and couldn't find anything about it.

I'm driving around at night, offroad, uphill. All of a sudden the headlights on my UAZ cut out, and I can't see anything. Applying scrap metal to repair the hull doesn't seem to fix the headlights. How do I fix this?

They should always work at night. Only at day they do not work

they were working, now they cut off randomly. not sure how to fix it
