Setting up Fraps / Non Steam / DayZ?

Hi guys, i was wondering if someone could give me some tips to setting up Fraps to run with Dayz? It seems like i have it working but it only records very little or not at all. I launch via six launcher (without steam option) and can see the frame rate while in game, but if i toggle the video recording it either only records a few seconds, or shuts the fraps down.

I've tried Bandicam and that just records my desktop without actually capturing the in game.

Scratching my head.

Can someone let me know how they have theirs setup?
