I'm in the ocean. Anyway to get back to land?

I was around the North part of the map when I tried to equip a camo clothing. I tried a few more times but to no avail so I went about my business. About a minute later I get teleported into the ocean with all my gear but still in civilian clothing.

I know I've ended up here because of the camo clothing but I thought this was supposed to be fixed? I'm running the latest beta-patch and our server has been updated so I don't know what's gone wrong. My friend who was with me removed all of their items and tried putting camo clothing on and it worked which is kind of strange. But I digress.

Is there any possible way for to get to land? I've logged into numerous other servers and I'm definitely in the ocean.

Is it possible for me to edit my DayZ files to adjust my position to somewhere on the map?

Is it possible for someone to edit my position?

I would like to try as many things as possible before respawning due to good gear.

By the time a solution is found, you could probably have suicided and found all, if not better than, of your gear. DayZ admins can manually edit your position, given your GUID. But to bother them with such insignificant matters just delays bigger issues being resolved.

I understand what you're saying but with the character I currently have I'm trying to stay alive as long as possible and I don't particularly want to die due to a bug.

Yes, but it would be frowned upon. On rare occasions someone like Ander will come across a thread like this and help the person out. Really, just accept the fact you lost your stuff to a bug and respawn. I've had it happen to me more times than I can remember now. Almost every time a very good inventory was lost. Just get used to it.

Well I'm not sure how many fishes I'd be able to catch for food and I doubt I'd make it a week drinking sea water but it's worth a shot.
