Snipes007 6 Posted July 21, 2012 Seriously why are they coming out daily? Can't they perhaps release a bundle min once or twice a week with a preference to Major changes released during a Mid week release? Giving users the ability to test and have a hotfix released asap. It's only because of DAYZ that Arma 2 sales shot up. Putting the game on the map as I only heard of Arma 2 but had no interest in playing it, after reading reviews and seeing trailers and clips of in game play. However thanks to the sheer brilliance of Dean Hall aka Rocket I bought Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA, purely to play Dayz. Sure it's good that they are getting to resolving long standing issues but releasing a patch that you can't roll back on Friday when most server hosting support staff are off enjoying RL's is trully on beyond me.Leaving servers empty during peak times because this simpleton tool SixLauncher updates client files automatically once a beta patch is released is just beyond me.I hope someone on the Arma 2 dev team gets to read this and relays this back to the powers that be as I can't be bothered posting on the Arma forums.Could it be that they are getting bonuses for releasing more beta patches hence the keenness or have they got one those .... I've got one more than you competitions going on???I would love to know
krtshv 362 Posted July 21, 2012 You can roll the beta patches back if you're unhappy.Delete the beta folder, restore original exe, install different patch, problem solved.I've done so several times.
zq7 67 Posted July 21, 2012 I believe that the recent ArmA II beta patches are mainly to stop hackers injecting scripts or w/e it's called (spawning items, etc.)So, personally I'll take patches every day over hackers running around, but hey.. that is just me.
