davidcastle 19 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) I am currently ordering a new computer and am wondering if this will run Dayz on max. I have a 1500 budget since i spend all my cash on guns.intel core i5 3570k (from what I have seen spending 100 more for i7 2700k maybe adds 10% max in game performance)570 GTX 2.5g EditionArma 2 Installed on SSDMy eventual plan is to SLI another 570. (is this worth it also or should i just get the 690/680 a few months from now)Eitherway.Currently with just the 570 gtx 2.5g edition and a crappy intel core duo E8400 i run at 40 frames outside cities and 20-30 inside cities with the exception of cherno berezino and elek where i run at 15-20 frames (18-20 good day) I assume my CPU is bottleneck currently. Right? as well as 6 year old HDD.Eitherway, what do you guys run with and what FPS? Also do my upgrades make sense? I will have a Z77 mobo, that runs the sandy and ivy bridge right? Guest Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Honestly, the game shouldn't be this hard to run. It's very strange, but understandable that it's so demanding.I have:i5 2500k overclocked at 4.5GhzHD Radeon 6870And a 1TB hard drive. Read time is probably something that needs fixing, but still, I have no problem with any other game, and can run BF3 at ultra. Tried so many options on DayZ and it just doesn't feel like working.EDIT: FPS as follows - Rural areas - 25 on bad days, 30-40 usuallyCities - 30 occasionally, normally 15-20, if not less. Mourek 40 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) i7 2700kHD7970 (1125 Oc)Usually about 50-60 fps when the server is in good condition, if not, I'm getting like 30-40 in cherno... I used to get much lower FPS tho, before they patched it and all that.I run all on very high ( no AA, that fucks up textures) without HDR and Post Processing. Video memory is on default ( very high detects max 512mb of vram ) Edited July 20, 2012 by Mourek

tomfin 25 Posted July 21, 2012 These might help improve your framerate: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/36688-maximize-frame-rate-on-dayz-and-arma2-low-frames-fix/http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/wqx8q/getting_low_fps_try_this/The "Render Ahead" setting seems to have helped me out.
