In the start of the game u start without av gun, but then it would be only logical to be able to hit the zombies, wouldent it?

I cant do anything but to run :(

Why?

You need to sneak around you know. If you do that, then you'll find a weapon eventually.

Because Rocket has not implemented hand to hand combat ...yet ...just run to town get a gun :)

Punching zombies with your fists doesn't seem that effective, now does it?

And it doesn't fit the atmosphere of the game. At the start you're supposed to feel helpless.

Unless you have fists of steel or are super strong you aren't going to kill a zombie with your fists. When you beat the crap out of a person you usually cause them pain or damage organs or something, note zombies don't feel pain and don't have a use for their vital organs (other than the brain). Your odds are slim to none.
