I heard that before, team work was possible

Recommended Posts

i mean, with people you actually dont know IRL

but then, CoD fan boys and others kids came on the game, and made it a CoD like, where the first goal is to kill other players (for those players at least)

if there was a real zombie apocalypse, you would be so afraid and alone that you would team up with the first weirdo you would see haha

so why that, i mean, im ok with the fact that PVP exist, but why people are so paranoïd now that its almost impossible to team up with a stranger, show your face, and you will be shot

can CoD fanboys stop ruining new videos games all the time and then come back to say "hurr it part of the game to kill everyone durr"

thats why i avoid all big cities, that way i never see players, this is how i dont get killed

btw: i dont rage because i'd loose my stuff if a player kill me, i just think its stupid to play the game like that, it would be a lot more fun if we could team up with other players imo

I can't comprehend how people don't understand that CoD is not the only game out there in the world where the main objective is to kill enemy players. So much rage at CoD for nothing lol.

I'm part of the CoD community. I understand how they work and it isn't just 'kill because we can'. It's 'kill because I know it pisses you off, know why? cus you rage at me'.

Ignore them and they leave, simple as that.

It's the meeting of 3 communities, hard core arma players like myself, DayZ players who never played arma, COD, BF, then the players that came from COD, BF. These 3 all have different play styles and ideals.

It is totally possible to meet players in game, become friends and have a great time. 3 9th members were taking fire in cherno so we fanned out, shot a guy in the back (he became unconsious), realized he wasn't who was firing on us. Then we healed him up and now him and his buddy play with us daily. We've also picked up other players along the way and teamed up.

It's just risky, some players start out knowing they are going to screw you over when it's safe, others decide to along the way if you find gear they want. Then there are the ones who shoot on sight. Once in a while you will just meet someone along the way who realizes getting a crew together makes DayZ alot safer.

Fact of the matter is: Nobody wants to team up with other folks, they find it easier to kill people n' steal their shit.

It's supposed to be a sim, but it's not going to be anything like that. Not only is this an open-world PVP-supported game, but there's a large benefit to killing other players. PVP isn't going to stop, it's going to get worse.

Get used to it is the only advice I can give.

And yes, the Call of Duty community is full of pathetic little children that don't understand the difference between shooter games. It's expected, the only thing they know how to do is kill other players. Forgive them for their stupidity. They're trolls by nature, all good.

Today morning, after the new update, me and my friend decided to play. We grouped up with 2 random Swedish players at Balota airfield and raided our way to north.

Was actually the first time we have done something like that, as I generally don't play with others (I don't shoot them unless they shoot me, I just stay out of the way), and it was a refleshing experience :) If neither of you Swedish players are reading this, heya!

Step 1:

--Choose one--

1) Go solo can kill everything that moves (including wabbits)

2) Find a team VIA random in-game meetings (inadviseable)

3) Find a community clan/group of players seeking teammates VIA Offical Fourms (Recommended)

Step 2:

If solo, play it your way.

If with teammates, work with them to achieve some arbitrary goal

Step 3: Find out that the game actually has teamwork, but you had to find it.

Step 4: Become enlightend that DayZ is much more than you origionally thought.

Step 5: Get bum rushed by an opposing player group and start back at Step 1

Fact of the matter is: Nobody wants to team up with other folks, they find it easier to kill people n' steal their shit.

I was sneaking around Elektro one evening, and after sitting and watching for a bit, from a nearby home, down the road I see a young man being chased by 3 infected. I yell to him:

"Hey, I'm a friendly over here, lure them to me and we'll take them out together!"

We were both armed with axes, and he did indeed lure them to me, from there we slaughtered the infected, I bandaged his wounds, and we made it to safety together.

I then invited him to my groups personal communication server, and he has now been part of our group since.

Keep your chin up, there are good people out there.

I actually play with some friends i know from the internet, we are around 10, but we can't always be there at the same time, so we play in a group of 3-4 players most of the time, i feel safe this way, but still, i'd prefer to meet strangers on the game instead of playing with people i already know, even if its fun. It would be awesome to say "i met my friend in a zombie post apocalyptic world " haha

People seem to think that if this actually happened, you would team up with random people... which would most likely never happen. You might be with friends and family, but that's it. Besides, the main problem is that there's no real reason to team up with people currently, I heard Rocket is working on that now, but seriously, why would I team up with you? I don't go out looking for people, but if you get anywhere within 100 feet of me, I'm going to shoot you...

That was quite a while ago, now the general attitude is just shoot or be shot. Real cooperation is only possible with friends you have on voice comm. Too many people playing DayZ are over-challenged with the idea of communicating and cooperating. A large amount of players probably are used to only take action where there is an incentive / reward to do so, so as long as people can brag about equipment they grabbed from other players or how many kills they have this mentality will take very long to fade out.

What do you need teamwork for? Zombies aren't hard enough to force team play. You only need it to avoid getting killed by solo bandits.

Survival without pvp takes nothing, hence pvp is the essence of surviving. This is why people shoot each other. Because what else is there to do.

You can just sit in a bush, cook meat all day long and drink water from a lake. You'll survive infinitely. Eventually you'll get bored and start to look for pvp.
