ArmA 2 OA has encountered a problem and needs to close.

"ArmA 2 OA has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

This is the error message I get whenever I try to join a server. Half way through the loading process, before the game even opens on my computer, it stops and an error pops up. I've searched all over this forum, read a bunch of tutorials and fixes, but nothing has worked so far.

Please note that the actual game does not even open yet. Six launcher is already installed, and all the updates are installed as well. Whenever I click join, that little box with the check marks loads about three quarters of the way and then I get the error message above.

Any feedback would be appreciated, but do not link me to another thread. As I have said earlier, I've tried every fix listed on this website.

I get the same problem. I've been having intermittant problems with the game for a week since i first started playing. I know it's an Alpha but the problem as far as I can see is there are numerous servers using different exe versions, different dayz code version, and different BattleEye versions. Yesterday I played all night fine, today ive been trying to connect to a server now for almost 2 hours... First it said it couldnt update BattleEye or that BattleEye wasnt responding. Several reboots and re-installs / manual copy of BattleEye files later and all I get now every time is the crash you are getting. it's almost like theres a hive problem or something to do with BattleEye.

Ok, this is getting ridiculous. I've been trying to fix this problem for over three days now, and it's not working. I tried reinstalling the game repeatedly and countlessly attempting to fix this problem.

Someone post a damn fix. I highly doubt nobody knows what is wrong.

I would like to help you with this issue. Due to the new battleye version that dayz requires you to have to join dayz servers it has corrupted several games. I run two servers, a Dayz server and a Zargabad Life server of U.S Border Wars. When My members go and play dayz battleye updates. When they get done playing dayz and they want to come play on our other server witch is not using any beta patches they cant. They connect to the server and get to the map screen and when you click continue it crashes their game. The report was saying BEClient.dll has crashed. To fix this issue you must manually update battleye back to the previous version you had. Steam users can delete all battleye folders on the computer and verify integrity of game cache and it will restore battleye back to its original form. Hopefully dayz will fix this because alot of people can't play on my server because battleye from dayz broke their games. They aren't able to join any servers but dayz. This is a huge problem and has began once the latest patches came out. They weren't ready for this I'm guessing. I've tried to run the latest battleye update on my zargabad server and everytime I run the exe the server crashes. This may be causing that problem due to my zargabad server runs the 1.60 patch and dayz runs the 1.62 patch witch requires the latest battleye. Apparrently battleye isnt compatible with patch 1.60. Please fix this because I've had a huge drop in players over the past week due to this problem

Well, this is the error I get from my Event Viewer.

"Faulting application arma2oa.exe, version 1.60.87.580, faulting module beclient.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00003dd5."

The game is fine up until I try to update it to the next version. It makes my game crash upon starting whenever I try to use the beta patch executable. I can still run the game fine, but it leaves my game at version 1.60.87.580, making me unable to join any DayZ servers.

Hi Trevor, I have seen this problem here with one of the kids machines, its not all the time but intermittent. If you have Steam then I would suggest right clicking on ARMA2: Operation Arrowhead (within the Steam Library) and choosing to reinstall Battleeye, this only takes a moment to do and then try joining a server. It will then go through the process of updating your battleeye. This seems to fix this problem for me. Give it a try.

I've tried this about a hundred times now.

The problem is that whenever I try to run a patch, regardless of what patch it is, the game crashes before it even fully opens. At first, it was telling me battleye was the cause, but now it's telling me that the arma2oa.exe executable is the problem. I've also tried reinstalling and running DayZ about three times now and nothing has changed.
