youfindhans@gmail.com 27 Posted July 20, 2012 When you chop a tree in real life it actually makes allot of sound. The Constant Chop Chop sound could attract a bandit in the forest nearby. Then when he has a general idea where it is comming from he might spot your fireplace aswell if you made the hasty decision of placing it right there right away instead of keeping it and taking it with you.Or he could scout the area also right away. This would also make you chop wood more likely with friends around covering you. and looking around as you chop. This makes chopping wood alone a vunerable thing.Which i think is realistic because you dont chop with a rifle in your hands :)Also this would mean the chopping action would take time instead of the instant action right now.Ofcourse it would be an breakable action if you moved. This i think makes tracking players cooler and more realistic. aversionfx 63 Posted July 20, 2012 Would be nice for the immersion factor, but I'm going to assume it's not in the game because of an engine limitation. More animations only make the game more immersive which makes the game better.

KnT47r 51 Posted July 20, 2012 What if you chop wood with a herring, would it still be loud?+1 would definitely add to the intensity
aversionfx 63 Posted July 20, 2012 Wait. Are you saying only animations make the game better? No. I'm saying that having more animations for a wider range of actions has absolutely no drawback, and that it can only serve to improve the immersion of the game.Learn. KnT47r 51 Posted July 20, 2012 It's a fish that is used to cut down the largest tree in a forest so one can get past the Knights who say Ni.Monty Python and the Holy Grail movie reference ;)

Egi 5 Posted July 20, 2012 Regarding the original subject, the idea is great. Chopping down trees should take several minutes instead of one second. The noise could be heard hundreds of meters away. In addition, the fresh wood cut from the forest should be damp and produce more smoke in the fireplace. Collected wood from barns etc. should be dry wood and burn better.
