Anyone been sniped a lot in Elektro lately?

Seams to be a huge occurrence now.

Ya, on the outskirts near the power plant. Was running across and almost got killed. Didn't have anything on me though, and I think he noticed so he let me by.

Most Cherno/Elektro snipers are practicing, meaning they can't hit the broad side of a barn without unloading a mag. If the first shot misses your chances are generally good. Don't run in straight lines - at best you'll survive, at worst they'll run out of ammo while you are respawning.

I would also guess they aren't inside the city proper, sounds to me more like coastal/outskirts sniping and there's nothing you can do about that but run into the woods. Or avoid US 578, take your pick.

I've been posted up in Elektro for the past couple of days sniping. It's easy to find a good vantage point, and even easier to find people to kill.

All my buddies were up there sniping the other day...even managed to get one of our own that could not get into TS to let them know he was running around down there. We all LOL'ed.

Yeah, me and 2 friends had a war going on between 3 others, first i got two of them with my DMR at the light house between Kamenka and Komarovo, the last guy managed to kill us, i ran to Balota airstrip and found an AKM in the control tower.

And told my friends to meet me there, my idea was that when that group of guys regroup, they might take the way past the airstip, With are two DMR: s and a m16a2, i was right we managed to kill them.

My friend took out one of the guys with are DMR with a hatchet. (Epic kill) And we got all are equipment back.

After those two intense firefight's we just ran to a safe place to log, are hearts was beating so fast^^

I like to sit on the hill just to the west of 175 (the infamous Sniper Hill) with my AS50 shooting the snipers up there.

But yeah if you've just spawned and you go to the power station at Elektro, you're gonna have a bad time.

Im far beyond target practicing, im just having fun.And my trusty M107 insures that i don't have to hit you twice :)

And from what i have seen, the sniper war has calmed some senses Open range (Steam summer sale) last week.

So that is your idea of fun? Sniping pretty much defenceless people while they are either searching for loot, or in their inventory's? That's pretty sad and unimaginative.

I think I am gonna have to learn all of the favourite sniper spots on the coast and get all my friends together to troll the absolute sh*t out of you guys. Watch your backs! ;)

because there isnt much to do in this game and elektro has a high player concentration. Its dangerous to snipe there though, people know already to search the hills and they ll come up behind you and shoot you in the head if you shoot form an area too often

The game is about survival, what is the longest that you have survived? Most of you guys 'deathmatching' don't live long by the sounds of it, so it seems like you have missed the goal of survival completely.

Try staying alive for a change. The game is all about the psychology of survival. You are missing out on the greater part of the experience if you just play this like it is a deathmatch game.

True, the game is about survival, but zombies aren't even a threat. The only threat is another player. Granted, I wouldn't go around sniping unarmed players. Which is why I hunt people up north. At least I have a chance of getting killed back.

surviving isnt hard or fun in this game. I think you missed the goal of the game being fun. Maybe if the zombie AI wasnt garbage and there was more to just killing animals and refilling water bottles.

Also, not all the snipers in elektro or cherno are aiming for just anyone. when i snipe there im looking for players carrying assault rifles or counter sniping or covering unarmed people.

Also ive done everything in this game. Player encounters up North are too far and inbetween to carry the games endgame. Players DCing, game glitches, hackers, etc just create burn out for alpha testers.

I'm having plenty of fun with some friends, and I haven't killed a single person since starting to play the game, yet. The odds are, most people never even know I am there, or we are there.

It's supposed to be the f**king apocalypse, why would I kill the last surviving humans? To ensure the species dies out or that all the offspring are inbred genetic mutants? It's f**king dumb...

If you are protecting unarmed players from those with mental deficiency, then fair enough, but otherwise, grow some balls.

Well, if you like being killed, more power to you. I personally prefer staying alive. Plus, I don't have a group of friends to play with, since the people I know have the attention span of a goldfish. And there's no way I'm going to trust random people in the game. That will get me killed quicker than throwing a grenade at my feet.
