yankee_1776@live.com 20 Posted July 20, 2012 Ha, I bought Arrowhead just for DayZ. I had Arma 2 when it first came out, but for some reason never bought Arrowhead, thankfully DayZ motivated me enough to do it!
Kozmas 30 Posted July 20, 2012 Same. I bought Arma just for DayZ. Definitely worth the money.
ParaB 114 Posted July 20, 2012 I bought both Arma2 and OA as retail versions when originally released. Then I read about DayZ in early May and couldn't find both manuals (and CD codes) any more. After an evening of fruitless digging through 25+ years of gaming documentation I actually bought BOTH ArmA2 AND OA again on Steam. Only to find both original manuals approximately half an hour after the Steam purchase...I don't regret a single cent though. DayZ has given me more entertaining hours than at least the last half dozen full-price AAA titles I've bought this year.
vekien 84 Posted July 20, 2012 Still strong on Steam, Players in past 24hours higher, going up nicely :)
Necrofix 16 Posted July 20, 2012 I hope this will make them make this mod better and also arma 3.This just show the power of mod to the developer that don't allow modding to there game. It just show how much money game can make off mods instead of DLC. Why not let the user created content, it's like free labor and they are happy to do it because if they get recognition they can get a job in the industry. Also a lot of people like me like to do some maps here and there for fun maybe they are not always good but the community can pick and chose what they want.Counter strike was a mod way back before it became retail. I am sure lot's of people bought half life 1 just for CS.
