ochie (DayZ) 1 Posted July 19, 2012 Hello, The game has really started to mature and gain a feeling or character about it. Anyone who bothers to read this forum almost certainly plays the game and enjoys it. Rocket has done some great work all by himself with some people around him supporting him. That said, I think it is time for a paypal or some form of monetary contribution to come from the 600k persons who enjoy this game and want more. In addition to or as an alternative option if Rocket can figure out a reasonable and actually helpful way to get the coders of this community to assist in the development of this project.Professionally I am a Network Engineer so I don't think I can give any crazy insight or assistance but I know there are coders out there that live and breath "loops, arrays, objects..ect".So to sum up my thoughts.1. Donate Portal to DayZ Project2. Find way to allow community coders to contribute to side or mainstream projects.I have Googled around and find a lot of plz help with private servers but none that donates directly to DayZ Project.-D

DayZ has boosted interested in the games quite a bit, so I don't think Rocket is at all hurting because of a free mod that requires you buy a base game. stripes 92 Posted July 19, 2012 Yea Rocket's not accepting donations. He said he can only eat so many pringles & drink so much mountain dew that the money from donations would be pointless. Besides, as pointed out, he works for BI.

Lady Kyrah 1110 Posted July 20, 2012 Nah because the second he put a donation link it will set people further in the "entitled customer" mindset.like: "HEY I GAVE YOU MONEY YOU *** NOW DO WHAT I SAY!"

SUpport would be to allow full time coders and more to support the project.
