andyfuji 15 Posted July 20, 2012 Somewhat agreeing, I can easily hit a running target at over 800m with the Lee Enfield. Mind you the Lee Enfield is unscoped; I shouldn't be able to kill something from nearly a kilometer away, while standing, without a scope.Bullet cones would be pretty bullshit, but a "suppression" effect that causes your weapon to shake if being shot at or chased by a zombie would be nice. After all, not everyone in the world is a trained marksman, nor is everyone as cool as an ice cube in the heat of a gunfight.
Keurk 4 Posted July 20, 2012 100 meters? A competent player can pick you from 350m to 500m easy with a Lee Enfield, maybe two shots from 700m.I see what you're saying, but learn to use the weapons and get those shots and I think you may change your tune.thislee enflield is a beast:p
P5ykoOHD 63 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Dude, just increase your "Dead zone" ... you will then have to align both iron sights befor shooting. That will give you the extra "challenge" you seem to be asking for ... Edited July 20, 2012 by P5ykoOHD
Arnie (DayZ) 21 Posted July 20, 2012 speak for yourself, pleasewhile not as common as we once were, people that grew up hunting are amazingly accurate with just about any weapon you hand them.a stationary man sized target at 200 meters engaged while standing with a centerfire rifle should be no problem for someone with military training. if it is then how did you ever qualify with a weapon?I did just fine thank you. Frequently getting groupings around 2.5" at 200 meters with ironsights. PRONE and trained. I want to see an untrained civilian run 400m and then open fire at someone standing up. In dayz its perfectly possible.

FearTheMuffin 1 Posted July 20, 2012 I find the accuracy and speed of recovery after running about accurate to what I can do IRL. Ofcourse, I don't run for 10+ KM and then shoot 500 meters like can be done in this game.If the sights are aligned, you should hit what you're aiming at. Period.
