Then you have not participated in many real testing phases. I have been in multiple alpha tests, and more betas than I can count. I can tell you from experience that the Beta's that really deserve to be called such (as opposed to "betas" that are just used as free previews of a game) do in fact have a tendency to have "miracle patches" that come out within the last week or last few days of the beta. This is the final patch that includes everything that has been worked on up to the last minute so that it is as polished as possible.

But even that aside, I fail to see the point of your OP. Just wanting to gripe? Offer up something to help make the game better in some way or don't bother at all. Even a concrete complaint is of value at this stage in a games development, but this type of "I feel impotent anger because the game is not perfect right now" post has no value.

a alpha is a alpha, and a beta is a beta. if this game is still buggy and glitchy when it goes gold status you may go on flaming.

btw there is no release date yet, so this alpha could go on for a couple of month or years.

i don't think this is about being a fanboy at all, we are currently playing a mod by somebody who had no high expectations in his own project in the first place.

now it became a very popular mod and the people getting a little hyped for some reason, right until they realise that this mod is far away from being perfect.

we all like the idea of this game but it will need patience to get the full dayz experience
