content which has been deleted?????

Recommended Posts

I currently have ARMA2, OA, PMC, and BAF all patched properly through Steam. I downloaded the DAYZ files need to play the game, and teh ran the DAYZ installer which should all the files were installed correctly. Yes, I have a @DAYZ folder with Addons subfolder in my main ARMA2: OA folder.

I go through my steam library right click on ARMA2 : Operation Arrowhead, and then click on Launch ARMA2: Combined Operations.

I click on expansions then click @day. I get a whole butload of servers to chos from but every time I clikc on a @dayz sever I get the following error: You cannot play the following mod because it is dependent on content which has been deleted: dayz_equip, dayz_vehicles, dayz_weapons, and dayz_code.

What is the deal? Those are the exact same things I downloaded and installed successfully earlier.

Anyone else have the same problems?

Regards....

This might be one of the problems I don't have @dayz in the right corner of my screen.

What does this mean?

Your DayZ mod files are either not in the correct location, or you did not add -mod=@DayZ into the startup properties of Operation Arrowhead in Steam, please check every step of the installation guide to verify which one of the two is the problem.

I already had the following in the OAset launch options:-mod=@DayZ

As for the second part I have the following:

Computer: OS(C:): Program Files (x86): steam:steamapps:arma 2 operation Arrowhead: @DayZ: Addons:

and inside the addons folder is the following PBO files:

dayZ.pbo

dayz.pbo.dayz.bisign

dayz_anim.pbo

dayz_anim.pbo.dayz.bisign

dayz_code.pbo

Well you get the picture. There are a total of 14 files in the Addons folder.

You need to double check, because it doesn't state that unless it can't find it.

Restart steam, run as administrator, check launch options, check for battle-eye updates, launch as combined ops. Try again.

Honestly everything appears good to go on my end. The launch option is the exact same -mod=@DayZ , the mod is in the proper location and all files have been properly downloaded. I exited out and restarted steam, I verified game cache integrity, I ran steam as administrator, and finally battleye appears to have been installed correctly.

Just for craps and giggles I clicked on reinstall battleye anticheat and it says I am missing string!!! Not sure what that means.

Bump back up for any out of the ordinary suggestions. There has to have been other players who went through the same problem as me.

Regards....

Might this be the problem, in the lower right hand corner of the main ARMA 2 screen it says version 1.6087580. Is that the latest version of ARMA2. I thought it went all the way up to version 1.11, but maybe that's just ARMA2, not the ARMA2: Operation Arrowhead.

Well crap, I thought the version 1.6087580 might have been too old, but it sounds like it's the most up to date version. Should I just wipe everything clean from Steam, including deleting the ARMA2 and OA folders inside steam and reinstall everything? lastly, do I need the OA add-on to play the DAYZ mod, or can I play it with just ARMA2?

The reason I ask is I have the ARMA2 stand alone disk but don't have the OA disk. Maybe buy it and go around the steam install?

I have 14 files in my addons directory. Did you extract all 7 files? Seems you are missing some?

Disgraced: Thanks for responding to my thread, and to answer your question, yes I believe I do have all the required files. For the sake of my sanity and poor typing skills I just listed some of the files in the download for people to get the general idea. I do have 14 seperate files though.
