krtshv 362 Posted July 19, 2012 Play on non-hive servers. Other than that, no.
krtshv 362 Posted July 19, 2012 Official servers share the characters via this thing called "Hive". Every official server has "@hive" listed under the Expansion section. If it does not have @hive, it probably uses a local stats system, which means characters are not shared through servers, but rather saved on that specific server. stanb@gmx.at 19 Posted July 19, 2012 Sure you can, but you gonna have to buy the game a second time. But just so you know, to get the game working with 2 keys is a pain in the ass.You need to install the first game, then copy the registry entry of bohemia interactive, then completely uninstall and install your second game (on both installations you have to individually start up both arma II and OA/CO in order to copy the new key into your registry) then you have again to export your registry entry of BI to preferably your desktop and you should be good to go.Now the problem, if you didn't startup both games after the installation, you gonna have to do everything again. If you are using the steam version, you gonna need 2 seperate steam accounts and you gonna need to download the game 2 times. After you change your key, sometimes the game won't let you update anymore and you have to configure sixupdater in order to update which sometimes doesn't work like a charm to say it nicely.BTW I named the 2 BI exported registry entries Key_1 and Key_2, before you start the game, simply double click one of each, then startup the game via shortcut, or sixlauncher etc, really doesn't matter. You gonna keep your controls and video options etc, just the profile is gonna switch.
