I'm worried!

I was playin fhelpful a good hour, then I log off to find some teammates in the forums. I try logging in to a server. And my screen goes black and arma2 freaks out and crashes. I have a nice computer.  I've tried a lot of things. A friend of mine has tried helping me, and nothing happens. See what we did:

-Manually updated to beta 95045

-Replaced Arma2OA.exe with the one in Expansions/Beta

-Editted _runA2CO_beta.cmd to inclide ;@dayz;ca under :run

-Manually updated client and server BattlEye dlls

-Changed launch options in Steam to "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -mod=@dayz -world=empty"

-Attempted running through both Steam and Six launcher

If there's any way you can help, I just want to play. Please, please help. Right now I'm trying to re install, but if you know a fix, respond immediately! I was so happy it was working now it isn't!

Firstly why did you do this? Ive never heard of that as being a good thing.

It sounds like you have implemented a lot of things and may have made a simple mistake somewhere.

My advice is to reinstall (sorry but if youve been overwriting files then its best to start with a clean slate) and use the dayz commander/armarize/sixlauncher and find which one is more suited to you.

Dont go the whole hog and try to edit everything in one go.

DAYZ can work without command lines so get it up and running then add them

Take one step at a time.

Shouldn't have to do this if using Steam to run it. Also never replace the original .exe file like you did. Always make a back up or just rename it. I just renamed it "arma2OA2.exe". Then just COPY the beta into the proper folder.
