I am getting angry with DayZ

Got an M24 ( Sniper Rifle ) my first one and wanted to have an assault rifle in case someone shows up close, since i could not put my sniper on my bag without dropping it, I had to drop it, got the assault rifle on the ground and...Sniper is gone,dissapeared, if this was supposed to be the most realistic game I do not see this, YEAH it is an alpha but A LOT of people already complained about this bug,since i know i am not getting my m24 back i hope i those bugs continue because there is a bug that you die and when you join another server you have everything back...Please DO NOT post in here, you should not have done that sicne you knew that someone said that the weapon could dissapear.Thank you for your attention.

Think of this game we are now playing as a bunch of black magic, hackery, bailing wire, twine and super glue. It's a miracle we are even able to play as well as we can at this stage. Many of the mechanics have only been added in the last several weeks. Mods are often like this, with plenty of problems, compromises and concessions to be made. Bugs like the one you had will likely be ironed out over the next couple of months, but in the process of adding the rest of the game mechanics many things are going to break, and require time to fix.

It's probably going to be a painful experience for everyone involved. If DayZ does not go standalone, you can count on having plenty of glitches and such. Rocket said himself that this mod is largely a bunch of hacks applied to a mod to make it work, and that things are going to get much worse before they get better. Better prepare yourself for a long and dusty ride, it wont be easy, but I have a feeling it will be worth it...

Why are they still working on this? It's apparently super dead-end. They need to start the standalone project already.

That happened to me today. Killed by friendly fire, respawned on my corpse as if nothing had happened. Inventory and stats hadn't changed, but my body lie on the ground with all of my stuffz. In other words, insta-dupe.

Was this even necessary, are you trying to get more posts or something, I did not get this.

Items have a chance of falling through the floor when dropped, especially on slopes and in buildings. For now drop something which you can afford to lose first and if you can pick it back up add the weapon to that loot pile and you will not lose it.
