What's up with the DayZ Devs

Recommended Posts

It's really starting to look like they are in over there heads. They have a game where hackers get to run rampant and server admins can not ban or kick them,,,,really. What world do these guys live in ? I wish someone with some more experience would acquire this mod or just develop a game along these lines. They should already be doing what Minecraft did and start charging 20 dollars for the beta. They would already be over a few million dollars if not more in sales and then maybe they could hire some real programmers to get this game going. As soon as my server payment is due I'm dumping Dayz and running a private server.

If server admins would stick to kicking and banning hackers we would be fine.

Unfortunately most of them take to kicking whoever the fuck they want and banning people for arbitrary bullshit.

Go try to join US380 right this very second and see what I mean.

Why should the devs give more leeway when people can't even follow the fucking rules already?

Name one single online (non-MMO) where "hackers" are not a problem ? (I can't).

And they didn't say you cannot ban for hacking, you can, you just need some kind of proof / log.

Sorry, Battleye doesn't read these forums.

This.

DayZ is not their game.

It's a mod. The cheat-"protection", BattleEye, was all we had before this mod even came up in Rocket's head.

Rocket and the DayZ staff can't do a single thing to stop hackers. That's BattleEye's job.
