~Ren~ 0 Posted May 20, 2012 I've been playing yesterday and today and one of the most asked questions I've seen so far on any server is what server am I on?I presume people want to invite their friends to the game but didn't note the name of the server before they joined. jezex90 12 Posted May 20, 2012 Then next time they log in they should pay more attention. At least you won't be able to hear that natter once global chatting gets removed.
lmlm 0 Posted May 28, 2012 Then next time they log in they should pay more attention. At least you won't be able to hear that natter once global chatting gets removed. This isn't often possible. The good servers are full and there are several so it's a matter of being very quick to click on the 49/50 players server and since at 1920x1200 the server name is on the opposite side of the screen there isn't enough time to look at the server name since the game immediately clears the screen after double clicking the server line. So, it's not a matter of not paying attention. It's a matter of user friendliness and letting the player know on what server he's playing.
Razor (DayZ) 0 Posted May 28, 2012 Hosts could place scripts to answer that question.I am pretty sure 90% sentences with "server" and "?" in it should be replied with "%servername%".

friendlybus 0 Posted May 29, 2012 I hope so because it's really hard to join a friend if he's forgotten which server he's on :)
guran 1 Posted May 29, 2012 low priority' date=' but should be done eventually.[/quote']It seems like a very trivial thing to add though? It would sure help when you want a friend to join but you just have no idea what server you play on..Even better would be if Arma 2's integration with Steam would work like with other multiplayer games; you can see which server your friends play at without even starting the game and you can join the same game very easily, the only thing you can see now is that they have started the game.
