How do I install DayZ if I have arma 2 on steam and OA on amazon?

You'll have to run the game outside of steam.

Follow normal installation procedure for ArmA 2 for Steam. Run it once.

Install OA into the same directory as ArmA 2:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2

Run OA once.

Run the 1.60 patch:

Follow the retail installation guide from here.

(ie. create shortcut of Arma2OA.exe, add -mod=@DayZ to the Target line of the shortcut after the quotation marks):

"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\arma2oa.exe" -mod=@DayZ

Then you should be good to go.

Always run from the shortcut.
