Friend is kicked from all servers for too high ping

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? He can connect to any server for about 10 seconds and then battle eye kicks him for cheating because his ping is too high. The only servers he managed to join for longer were the french ones which he had 500 ping to, but was kicked when it spiked up to 1.5k. As for the US servers, he gets around 2k, even the ones based within a few hours drive.

He can play normal matches fine, as in vanilla Arma II and Operation Arrowhead. He doesn't get kicked for his ping in those, but when trying to join any DayZ server he does.

There is nothing we can do about his ping as he has satellite internet out in the middle of nowhere. Is there any way that someone knows about to allow him to play without being kicked?

Yea thats what I figured. He was getting unusually high ping in teamspeak I noticed as well today, so maybe it will work tomorrow. Right now he closed steam and teamspeak, the only other things with an internet connection, and is testing to see if he can play.

There is a way for servers to set the maximum ping that someone can have before they are kicked, but I doubt any of the servers would increase it for him....D=. Depending on how the servers work for this game one person with high ping might lag everyone.

He tried to get internet on the ground, like through the phone line but there is not a single company that can get the signal to go far enough so he is stuck with satellite.
